GERSHWIN at One Symphony Place
Click On Image For Preview! Sunrise and The Nashville Symphony produced a 20 camera live high definition telecast for PBS featuring the music of George Gershwin to open the 2008 Symphony Season. The gala was conducted by Nashville Symphony Music Director Giancarlo Guerrero and features Kevin Cole on Piano. The highly rated 2 hour live special will re-broadcast in Nashville on Thanksgiving evening, and be telecast nationwide on PBS over the Christmas/New Years week. Robert Swope Produced and Directed the broadcast which utilized 20 High Definition cameras including 12 Iconix mini-cams onstage and a custom designed aerial camera created specifically for the venue. |

Music City has shattered national PBS ratings and taken the world stage by storm with the Nashville Symphony's historic LIVE Public Television broadcast of its Gala Opening Night concert, directed and produced by Robert Swope. The critically acclaimed production executive teamed up with the Nashville Symphony, Nashville Public Television, and BellSouth for the High Definition production which aired live this month on PBS stations in Nashville, Knoxville, Chattanooga, Cookeville, and Martin. The program, entitled "One Symphony Place: A World Premiere Live from Music City," was the premiere HD broadcast for local public television affiliates pulling a 3.7 / 7 share of the market. It is set to air nationwide on PBS stations on December 20th. |
